Division three of Patient Thread Ltd
Live. In production use across our own group

Your company already has a system.
It is just spread across eleven tabs.

the Forum is a complete operating system for small and medium enterprises. One place where the customers, the projects, the money, the policies and the people all reference the same record, so nothing has to be reconciled by hand at the end of the month.

Tenant isolation enforced in the database
Multi-factor authentication
Every change audited
In production use inside our own group

A dozen subscriptions.
Or one system that already agrees with itself.

Count the tools a typical small company pays for. Each one is good at its slice and knows nothing about the others, so the same customer, the same project and the same pound are typed in again and again. the Forum holds every one of these as a view of a single record.

What most companies run today

  1. 1A CRM for contacts and pipeline
  2. 2A project or task tool for delivery
  3. 3An expenses app for claims and receipts
  4. 4An HR system for people, leave and onboarding
  5. 5A policy and document tool with read receipts
  6. 6An e-signature service for contracts
  7. 7A contract register, usually a spreadsheet
  8. 8A bank reconciliation tool for money in
  9. 9A market and competitor intelligence service
  10. 10A messaging channel for internal decisions
  11. 11A grants and funding tracker
  12. 12An approvals workflow bolted onto email

Twelve logins, twelve invoices, twelve exports, and nobody's job to make them agree.

What the Forum gives you

  • One record of the business. A customer, a project, a claim and a contract are the same object wherever they appear.
  • One approval engine. Expenses, leave, policies and documents route through the same chain with the same audit trail.
  • One bill. Priced per company, not per module and not per seat multiplied by twelve.
  • One security standard. Tenant isolation enforced in the database, multi-factor authentication, every change audited.
  • One export. Everything comes back out in open formats if you ever leave.
  • Your accountant keeps their tools. the Forum approves and exports; payroll and statutory accounts stay where they are.

Six things every company does.
One system that does them.

Most SME software is a stack of point solutions that each know a fraction of the truth. the Forum is the opposite arrangement: one record of the business, with modules that read and write to it.

CRM and contacts

Every organisation, contact and conversation in one place, deduplicated and linked to the projects and invoices they belong to. Built to hold a real relationship history rather than a list of stale email addresses.

Projects and delivery

Workstreams, owners, milestones and the actual state of play. Projects carry their own documents and decisions, so the answer to "where did we get to" lives with the work instead of in somebody's inbox.

Finance and expenses

Claims, receipts, categories and approval routing, with a clean export for the accountant or the payroll run. the Forum approves and exports. It never moves your money, which keeps the payment rails and the record-keeping properly separate.

HR and people

Employment records, leave, onboarding and the documents that go with them. Approval chains follow the org structure you actually have, not the one the software assumes.

Policies and governance

Company-wide policies as living documents with versions, owners and review dates, plus a record of who has read what. The evidence an auditor asks for, produced as a by-product of running the company.

Market intelligence

A structured, continuously maintained picture of your market and your competitors, built only from compliant public sources. Go-to-market planning that starts from evidence rather than from the last conference you attended.

Opinionated where it matters.
Configurable where it should be.

the Forum came out of running our own group of companies. Every design decision below exists because the alternative cost us a day we did not have.

One record, many views

A customer, a project and an invoice are the same objects everywhere they appear. Change the record once and every module reflects it, so the monthly reconciliation stops being a job.

Approval is a first-class concept

Expenses, policies, leave and documents all route through the same approval engine, with the same audit trail and the same escalation rules. You configure the chain, not the plumbing.

Your vocabulary, not ours

Sector-specific language lives in configuration, never in the code. A clinic, a production company and a laboratory each see terms that make sense to them on the same underlying system.

Exports, not lock-in

Everything the Forum holds comes back out in an open format. If you leave, you leave with your data in a shape your next system can read.

Multi-tenant, without the asterisk.

the Forum is built by the same team that builds our clinical systems, and it is held to the same standard. Isolation is not a filter in the application layer that a bug can bypass.

Isolation in the database
Row-level security policies are enforced by the database itself. Every query is scoped to the calling organisation before the application ever sees a row, so one tenant cannot read another tenant's data even if the application is wrong.
Multi-factor authentication
MFA is available on all accounts and enforced at the database policy layer rather than merely checked at the login screen.
Auditable by default
Approvals, policy acceptances and record changes are written with actor, timestamp and prior state. The audit trail is a product feature, not a log file you have to reconstruct.
UK GDPR
Patient Thread Ltd is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office under reference ZC223090, and is implementing an information security management system aligned to ISO 27001.
