AI scribe. Video clinics. A record your patient helps you build. All in one secure, ICO-registered app.
AI Clinical Scribe
Patient Thread listens to your consultation and drafts the clinical letter. History, examination findings, plan. All ready for your review. You stay present with your patient. The documentation takes care of itself.
Video Consultations
Schedule video appointments with fixed patient slots. Your patients join from their own Patient Thread app. The call is automatically scribed. The raw audio is deleted once the transcript is written.
Complete Clinical Record
Every test result trending over time. Every diagnosis and medication. Every consultation, every letter. One searchable record that knows what matters in your specialty.
Everything else
Encrypted clinician–patient messaging. Letters, results and messages delivered directly to the patient's app.
Patients upload their own results, track medications and contribute to their own record. The EPR is a collaboration, not a one-way document.
Clinic letter templates auto-populated from the consultation. Dispatch to patient, GP and CC contacts from within the app.
Build in-person or video clinics with scheduled slots per patient. Overdue tracker flags patients past their review date.
Multiple clinicians, multiple organisations, each seeing only their own patients. Full data ringfencing by design.
Native iOS app on the App Store and full browser access. Same account, same record, seamless across devices.
Raise invoices for consultations, track payment status and manage outstanding balances. Patient subscriptions handled via Stripe.
Automatic flag when a patient is past their next review date. Your overdue list is always visible, always current.
Specialty Coverage
Nephrology is one of the most results-intensive specialties in medicine, which is why Patient Thread was built there first. A system that handles the complexity of kidney disease handles the complexity of any specialty. Patient Thread works equally well in cardiology, surgery, respiratory medicine, endocrinology, rheumatology and beyond. Bespoke configuration is available on request.
In their own words
I looked at everything out there. None of it thought the way I think, and none of it was worth what it cost. So I built my own.
Patient Thread has made practice management, clinic planning, billing and correspondence so much easier. Everything is in one place and I can actually see what needs doing.
Security & Compliance
Security is not a feature layer added on top of Patient Thread. It is the architectural foundation it is built on.
Every database query is organisation-ringfenced at the PostgreSQL level. Cross-organisation data leakage is architecturally impossible, not just policy-level prevented.
ICO registered. Data Processing Agreements in place with all sub-processors. Patient data stored on European infrastructure only. No US data transfers.
The iOS and web apps use only the public anon key. All privileged operations run server-side in edge functions. Nothing sensitive ever reaches client code.
Each patient sees only their own records. Clinicians see only patients in their own organisation. No exceptions, no administrator backdoors.
Every patient record access logged with timestamp, clinician and organisation. Immutable audit trail for CQC inspections and clinical governance.
TLS in transit. AES-256 encryption at rest on AWS infrastructure. All clinical data stored on European servers only.
